Soy wax from Spain is considered one of the best materials for candle making.
Melting point: 45-48C
Pouring temperature: 50-65C
It is a wax of vegetable origin, which is obtained by partial or full hydrogenation of soya oil. If you compare soy wax and paraffin candles, soy wax candles burn 50% longer. And the amount of soot burns much less than with paraffin.
Flavoring for candles can be added to the soy wax at a temperature no higher than 65 degrees to get the most flavor and keep it for a long time.
It is very important not to overheat the wax, checking the temperature with a thermometer.
To get the wax to adhere better to the sides of the container, warm it in the oven at 40-50 degrees.
When pouring the wax into the molds, pour it as slowly as possible so that it sets evenly. When curing in molds or containers, the soy wax may shrink where the wick is located. To avoid this, pour a little melted wax into the hole or cavity near the wick.
