Candle wax

What is candle wax and where to buy it
The most common materials used to make candles are paraffin, stearin, ceresin, beeswax, palm
wax and other materials.
When you are just beginning to make candles and have not yet worked out the manufacturing
process, it is best to use readymade candle wax. This is made by mixing different waxes in a
special percentage. An organic dye is added to the mix to make the finished candle wax. You
will immediately know what colour your candle will be. You do not need to experiment with
colouring the mixture yourself.
Why mix different materials when making candles
Materials used in candle making have different physical and chemical properties, they have
different melting points. A mixture of paraffin and stearin is recommended to make a quality
candle.
Candles of such wax are better to get out of the form, well hold their shape when burning, do
not melt.
You can buy candle wax in our online shop, our specialists have developed an ideal recipe of
candle wax for making candles.
What candles can be made from wax and how to work with it
This raw material is ideal for all items to be poured into moulds and glasses.
All you need for making them are moulds in which you pour the melted candle mass and the
wick.
Melt the required quantity of wax on a low flame in a suitable container, preferably made of
stainless material. The melting temperature of the mass must not exceed 60-62 degrees, don't

bring it to a boil. Then pour it into previously prepared moulds, in which the wick has already
been stretched and fastened, and leave it to harden completely at room temperature. If the
candle will shrink, pour some melted wax into the shrinkage.
When fully cured, remove the candle from the mold.
To make the wick burn better, you may dip the end of the wick in melted wax.
Making candles in glasses
Place the wick in a special glass to hold the candles, pour the melted material over it and wait
until it has hardened.
Why it is convenient to use pre-mixed candle wax
When you make many candles of the same colour, it is easy to purchase pre-mixed and
coloured candle wax. When making candles, you don't have the problem of the wax being badly
coloured and not the colour you wanted. You buy ready-made wax and you can see at a glance
what colour your products will be.
